Financial Reporting Lead

The role involves performing detailed financial analysis, collaborating with finance teams, and leading the year-end review while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed analysis of financial results, explaining variances and trends, and provide financial insights to help management make informed decisions
Apply accounting principles to analyze financial data, record and reconcile transactions, and assist in the preparation of financial reports
Research proper accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP, as needed
Collaborate with other finance and functional teams to perform expense reviews and forecast annual operating spend
Prepare for and support the annual business planning process, including operating and capital plans
Lead the year-end review which includes the preparation of external financial statements and cash flows, consolidating entries, and financial workpapers
Ensure successful implementation of new accounting standards, as necessary
Perform ad hoc projects as requested

Required

CPA certification required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
4 - 10 years of relevant financial reporting, accounting, or finance experience, preferably with experience in Public Accounting
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills combined with an ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations
High degree of professionalism and the ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization from new hires to senior executives
Exceptional client service mentality and strong work ethic
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Must be an excellent team player as well as work independently
