Aviation Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

Organize, direct, and coordinate activities related to airport infrastructure projects, such as runways, taxiways, and terminals, from initial assessment through planning and design
Collaborate with aviation team leadership to manage and motivate a high-performing group of technical professionals, ensuring excellence in project delivery and achieving team utilization goals
Effectively manage project budgets, scope, and schedules to deliver successful outcomes for critical aviation initiatives
Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded throughout each phase
Lead challenging infrastructure projects that support airport safety, sustainability, and operational excellence
Mentor and inspire junior engineers dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions
Collaborate with talented professionals across disciplines in a flexible work environment

Qualification

Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseAviation infrastructure expertiseEngineering software proficiencyProject management experienceCommunicatorStrategic thinkerMentoring skills

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience; previous project or team management experience preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
Demonstrated technical proficiency in aviation infrastructure and systems
Strategic thinker with the ability to guide and motivate team activity and resolve issues with urgency
An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups

Preferred

Experience with project budgeting preferred; basic understanding of accounting processes
Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred
