The Floor Associate will assist customers with product selection, maintain store organization, and ensure a positive shopping experience for every customer.
Responsibilities
Provide exceptional, helpful customer service at all times
Greet each customer with a smile and ask, “What can I help you find today?”
Walk customers directly to products and ensure they have everything needed for their project
Stock shelves, back stock, and warehouse inventory
Front and face merchandise as directed by your manager
Read and communicate product instructions effectively
Operate scanners, registers, and point-of-sale (POS) systems
Assemble basic products as needed
Qualification
Required
Friendly, reliable, and customer-focused
Ability to provide exceptional, helpful customer service at all times
Ability to greet each customer with a smile and ask, 'What can I help you find today?'
Ability to walk customers directly to products and ensure they have everything needed for their project
Ability to stock shelves, back stock, and warehouse inventory
Ability to front and face merchandise as directed by your manager
Ability to read and communicate product instructions effectively
Ability to operate scanners, registers, and point-of-sale (POS) systems
Ability to assemble basic products as needed
Ability to stand for extended periods
Routine bending, climbing, twisting, and reaching
Ability to lift and move products up to 50 lbs
Manual dexterity for handling merchandise and transactions
Able to read product labels and communicate clearly with customers
Must be available to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
Preferred
1–3 years of retail experience (hardware or home improvement a plus)
Familiarity with hardware-related products and common DIY/home improvement projects
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
