Stewardship Officer (Stewardship and Funds Development)

Responsibilities
Using data-driven and constituent-specific strategies, knowledge of the PC(USA), and an entrepreneurial spirit, manage all tasks related to engagement, retention, and interpretation of the ministry priorities of the [IUA]
Conduct strategic visits for the purposes of discovery, cultivation, and stewardship to secure and maintain faithful giving by congregations and mid-councils (presbyteries and synods)
Implement and grow the PILLARS recurring giving program for individual donors. This includes organizing and hosting events (online and in-person) to engage donors with the PILLARS program. Work with Major Gifts Officers to include potential high-level donors
Work alongside the Annual Giving Officer and Annual Giving Team to consistently promote annual giving opportunities such as the church-wide Special Offerings and Presbyterian Giving Catalog, adhering to General Assembly action
Assist the Major Gifts Officers by identifying potential major donors and communicating that information to appropriately move them along the donor journey
Ensure accurate, timely, and complete database records. Capture and document all pertinent information from visits, meetings, correspondences in regular contact reports
Plan and present workshops and webinars to encourage funding for [IUA] ministry priorities and share stories of impact
Develop presentations for congregational stewardship engagement
Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of [3-5] years of experience with nonprofits with preference for faith-based nonprofits
Dynamic interpersonal skills with the proven ability to comfortably and confidently interact with a diverse community
Knowledge of programs such as Raisers Edge (Constituent Relations Management system) and Google or Microsoft Suites
Familiarity with social media and other digital platforms is ideal
Experience managing multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, results-driven environment while demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, detail orientation, leadership and delegation abilities, comfort, energy, and poise in public speaking
Understanding and knowledge of PC(USA) and its structure
Proven ability to effectively work as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to comprehend and effectively communicate [IUA]'s mission to constituents
Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics in working with highly confidential and sensitive information
Familiarity with donor/customer database management and online fundraising tools
Strong technical skills and proficiency with technology
Ability to travel as required for meetings, visits, and events
Preferred
Have a deep understanding and commitment to cultural and racial ethnic inclusiveness
Ability to speak one or more languages other than English very helpful
