Responsibilities

Conducts thorough search and review of FOSS product licenses and creates and posts use guidance in a shared repository that is coordinated with IP Counsel, Supply Chain Advising, Engineering, and Digital Technology

Communicates with requestors to understand use needs and request details

Collaborates with cross-functional team to support overall process flow

Prepares metrics and status reporting

Required

University Degree or Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or Advanced Degree in related field and minimum 3 years experience

Significant experience with software licensing, SaaS, IT agreements, and IP licensing agreements

Significant expertise with IP license provisions; drafting and negotiating IP license terms

Experience and expertise in software licensing, company policies, procedures, and work instructions

Strong ability to analyze terms and conditions, articulate them into a summary and develop options to comply with those terms and conditions

The successful candidate will be very analytical with the ability to infer meaning from written and oral material

Precise attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal directions

Ability to think with common sense in situations that are not always black and white

Strong collaboration skills, excellent oral and written skills and a ‘can do' attitude, but that can be assertive when necessary to comply with company and legal requirements

Must have strong internet research and investigative skills
