The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a Technical Specialist 1, Drawing Control, to assist with MTA Construction & Development drawing review and archiving. This role involves ensuring adherence to MTA CADD standards and managing CADD submittals throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Assist with reviewing CADD and PDF drawing submittals, ensuring that they comply with MTA CADD Standards

Assist with reviewing drawing submittals against BIM models, ensuring that both deliverables are in agreement

Assist with publishing submitted drawings into the drawing archive tools

Assist with ensuring that drawings are submitted at the appropriate time in the project lifecycle

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in an appropriate technical field, Engineering Technology/Engineering Science or an equivalent subject

Must have a minimum of four (4) years of related experience

Must be capable of working on multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

A general understanding of current design, engineering software, and Microsoft Office is required

Preferred

Working knowledge of relevant industry standards and installation practices is a plus

A working knowledge of CADD applications (MicroStation / AutoCAD), ProjectWise, and BIM applications is preferred

Analytical ability, pro-active attitude, willingness to learn and an ability to think 'outside the box' when required
