Midstream Revenue Accountant

Responsibilities

Creates and distributes monthly invoices, remittances, and allocations for the Midstream Accounting Department
Manages the monthly midstream close process and conducts analysis related to gas plant and terminal accounting
Reviews monthly contract updates to ensure accurate customer settlement
Prepares timely and accurate gas plant allocations and production settlement statements or invoices in compliance with midstream service agreements
Communicates effectively with commercial, operations, and other stakeholders both internally and externally critical to job responsibilities
Prepares and analyzes monthly revenue accruals and accrual-to-actual analytics workbook
Prepares reports, schedules, and reconciliations associated with oil, gas, and NGL revenue
Prepares and uploads revenue-related journal entries into the appropriate accounting system
Adheres to policies, procedures, and instructions
Maintains confidentiality of financial information
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimum supervision
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Ability to reconcile complex accounts and ensure accuracy
Ability to meet changing priorities and deadlines
Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
Must be organized and detail-oriented
Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the oil and gas industry
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required
1+ years of accounting experience is required

Preferred

Public accounting, revenue accounting, and/or oil and gas experience are a plus
Quorum experience is a plus
ERP systems experience such as SAP is preferred
