Outside Sales Account Manager - Industrial Fluid Power Components and Solutions

The Outside Sales Account Manager will drive sales growth by winning new customers and developing existing accounts through tailored solutions and strategic sales efforts.

Responsibilities

Meet and exceed annual sales and gross profit goals
Prospect, follow up, and convert new OEM, Capital Project, and MRO customers
Identify and focus on key strategic accounts for long-term growth
Conduct detailed needs assessments and develop tailored solutions based on technical and business insights
Create compelling proposals, presentations, and quotations that align with customer requirements
Close deals that maximize value for both the customer and the company
Provide responsive, on-time, and error-free service while proactively solving problems
Leverage internal technical and service resources to deliver the best solutions
Track metrics, manage opportunities, and report weekly progress
Participate in weekly accountability meetings and ongoing training through SunSource University

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or Engineering OR 2-year technical degree in Fluid Power (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
3+ years of industrial sales experience
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
Consultative, value-added sales approach
Excellent communication, planning, and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, organized, and competitive
Valid driver's license required
Overnight travel may be required at times

Preferred

2+ years in Fluid Power sales strongly preferred
Knowledge of Automation or Motion Control a plus
