Responsibilities

Conduct a market research or similar project as part of the business development and marketing experiences
Work with an account executive building a proposal for a project, whether it is a design project or an implementation one
Attend multiple customer meetings during the time shadowing an Account Executive or a Technical Executive. Support the team with meeting notes and the execution of some action items
Support the development of commercial documents, whether it is a Statement of Work (SOW) or Preliminary Functional Specification Document (PFSD)
Update records of accounts and opportunities in FORTNA’s CRM platform
Participate in one project led by the Solution Design department. Each project type has different methodology and artifacts. For an Operations Design project:
Data validation and analysis
Requirements gathering and validation
Concept hypothesis (Solution Design Workshop)
Concept Refinement (FTE, DOO)
Estimation and Final Presentation
Attend a week or two of IDD sessions and support the team with production of artifacts and documentation of meetings
Support a departmental continuous improvement initiative
Spend a week on site with a team for a current state review or go-live preparation activities
Participate in a Solution Design Workshop meeting and support the development of analyses, research and deliverables
Research equipment and technologies applicable to the project being supported
Size and design a subsystem or portion of the overall solution, using tools like Demo3D, DCDesigner or others depending on the solution
Support the development of the budget estimate for a project, learning how to use DCEstimator a providing support to the lead estimator

Required

Entry-level Professional Services and Engineering talent with a passion for technology, automation, and professional services coupled with a drive for exceptional client service
Ability to conduct market research or similar projects as part of business development and marketing experiences
Experience working with account executives to build proposals for projects
Ability to attend customer meetings and support the team with meeting notes and execution of action items
Experience in developing commercial documents, such as Statement of Work (SOW) or Preliminary Functional Specification Document (PFSD)
Ability to update records of accounts and opportunities in FORTNA's CRM platform
Participation in projects led by the Solution Design department, including data validation and analysis, requirements gathering and validation, and concept hypothesis formulation
Experience in attending IDD sessions and supporting the production of artifacts and documentation of meetings
Support for departmental continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to spend time on-site with a team for current state review or go-live preparation activities
Understanding of tools such as DCDesigner, Demo3D, DCEstimator, and project scheduling
Participation in Solution Design Workshop meetings and support for the development of analyses, research, and deliverables
Researching equipment and technologies applicable to projects
Sizing and designing subsystems or portions of overall solutions using relevant tools
Support for the development of budget estimates for projects
