The Claims Department summer internship position offers hands-on experience in Workers’ Compensation claims management, including rotations through various departments and collaboration on a summer-long project.

Responsibilities

Rotation through all departments within Claims

Exposure to select operational areas supporting Claims

Learn the fundamentals of Workers’ Compensation claims adjusting

Shadow field adjustor to observe claim evaluation and gather facts of the accident and injury

Collaborate with the Claims Liaison team to understand agent relationship and adjuster interactions

Assist in troubleshooting reported issues and researching potential solutions

Contribute to a summer long project, ending in a presentation of the project results at the end of the internship

Required

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program from an accredited four-year college or university, pursuing degrees in fields such as Risk Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Healthcare or a related field

Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Dependable, self-motivated, goal-oriented with a passion for helping others and delivering solutions

Demonstrates and able to apply critical thinking and multi-tasking skills
