Build & DevOps Engineer for Robotics - San Francisco
Polymath Robotics is creating software to control industrial vehicles, and they are seeking a Build & DevOps Engineer to ensure their processes are reliable, secure, and automated. The role involves maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating workflows, and collaborating with developers to enhance build performance.

Responsibilities
Own and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Buildkite, or similar)
Automate build, test, and release workflows for ROS and Linux targets
Develop internal tools for deployment, testing, and integration
Enforce good security practices for internal and external builds
Extend automated self-test and integration testing for software releases
Collaborate with developers to improve build reproducibility and performance
Maintain visibility into build and deployment metrics (“what’s broken and why”)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
1–3 years of experience in DevOps, build systems, or software tooling roles
Proficiency with Linux development environments
Experience with Git, CI/CD, and container tooling
Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code or configuration management tools
Passion for automation and developer productivity
Preferred
Familiarity with ROS build systems (colcon, catkin) strongly preferred
