Responsibilities
Assess client RFQs, drawings, and specs to confirm requirements and identify technical risks
Use AutoCAD to design complete production lines and conveyor systems, optimizing spacing, accumulation, and operator flow
Incorporate OEM equipment into layouts to deliver best-fit solutions
Partner with clients to define scope, gather details, and align technical, operational, and commercial goals
Conduct on-site evaluations, take measurements, and lead technical discussions to support accurate designs
Present proposals that clearly communicate the value of ProMach’s solutions
Secure and evaluate vendor quotes to meet scope, cost, performance, and schedule targets
Negotiate pricing and secure favorable terms when needed
Build lasting relationships to ensure smooth execution
Deliver technical sales training, mentor engineers, and support marketing initiatives
Drive profitable growth by meeting revenue targets, controlling costs, and developing reusable solutions for future proposals
Resolve quality issues and address vendor problems quickly
Qualification
Required
7+ years in estimating, technical sales, or project management in packaging or automation, including 3+ years leading complex packaging line integration projects
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD for complete production line design
Ability to interpret complex technical documents, specs, and drawings, and assess technical risks
Effective communication skills for presenting technical concepts to clients, vendors, and internal teams
Proven ability to prioritize and manage projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and innovative problem solving
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15%, with occasional off-hours for Pacific Coast or international clients
