Start in 2026 SpringNew-Indy Containerboard LLC is currently accepting resumes for an internship as a Process Engineer at the paper mill located in Oxnard, CA. The selected individual will receive experience in operations pertaining to the paper-making process and assist with various technical projects that require a sound understanding of engineering principles.

Responsibilities
Provides Production, Maintenance and the Technical team's support
Learn and apply knowledge within the containerboard industry
Assist with developing operator interfaces to promote efficient operation, effective standard operation procedures (SOPs) and improved process monitoring of key operating parameters
Assists with gathering and analyzing data used in continuous improvement efforts
May assist in maintenance projects that involve instrumentation and process control
Apply core engineering concepts to solve complex, unfamiliar and novel problems
Full ownership of assigned project and present findings to management team by end of internship
Qualification
Required
Must be in the process of pursuing a Paper Science, Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical engineering degree
Preferably must be a 2nd or 3rd year student
Strong time management, organization, and prioritizing skills with the ability to multitask and meet multiple concurrent deadlines
Solid written and verbal communication skills; interact well with all levels of organization
Overcome obstacles and tenaciously drive to achieve goals
Ability to learn various Company software packages
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite
Benefits
