Karman Space & Defense provides concept-to-production solutions for mission-critical systems on spacecraft and defense systems. The Machine Shop Quality Inspector assists the Quality Manager and teams with product Quality Assurance, programming CMM and inspecting parts with metrology equipment.

Responsibilities

Programming of Hexagon CMM and Romer Arm with PCDemis software and associated inspection

Creates part setup plans for CM

Trains inspectors how to run CMM program

Performs measurement inspection of parts, including AS9102 First Article Inspection

Documents non-conformances as they are discovered

Assists Quality Assurance with other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Communicates effectively between with inspectors, machinists, and engineering

Required

HS diploma

Proficiency with GD&T

3+ years programming Hexagon CMM and PCDemis software

Working experience in AS9100 or equivalent quality system
