Project Engineer - Federal Construction

Bryan Construction Inc. is a General Contractor seeking a Project Engineer with Federal construction experience. The Project Engineer will perform engineering design evaluations, manage project budgets, and coordinate various stakeholders to complete construction projects efficiently.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the administration of all aspects of the construction project
Assist Project Manager in generating and managing project budgets, cost controls and project related invoicing
Coordinates subcontractors, vendors, material suppliers, hired labor forces, inspectors, testing labs and others as required to fulfill the requirements of the schedule and project(s)
Responsible for the generation of change orders and claim proceedings
Familiar with the unique aspects of the job and properly establish and maintain appropriate document control
Responsible for timely submittal of all reports as required and/or requested by management or clients
Strong RFI, Submittal, Change Order and Meeting Minute skills
Assist in the pre-construction/estimating process
Assist with updates and activity management for scheduling

Required

Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering
2+ years of project experience working in the construction industry required
Strong RFI, Submittal, Change Order and Meeting Minute skills
Proficient With Various Computer Software: Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, P-6
Responsible for the administration of all aspects of the construction project

Accuracy/thoroughness/execution
Finish early - everything (This is expected at this point)
Learn about project budgets, changes, and how to read financial reports
Teamwork/team player - support and back-up teammates
Good communicator with a strong understanding of the construction processes
Document Management To Include: Budget Adjustments/Change Orders, Pay Applications, Scopes and LOI's, Contract Review, Review and distribute submittals, Set up and manage file structures in Bluebeam and on internal servers
Assist in the pre-construction/estimating process: Scope review, Qualify Bidders
Scheduling: Assist with updates, Activity Management (add/delete), Create and define relationships

Preferred

Experience with Federal construction sites preferred
Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, Procore, exposure to schedule software, preferably Primavera (P6) preferred
