Responsibilities
Quantify risk to spaceflight hardware by modeling and simulation
Design, support logistics for, and report on MMOD-related test campaigns
Improve internal MMOD analysis processes and tools
Interface and collaborate with industry experts on general best-practices
Secondarily: support other system engineering tasks as-needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of industry experience
Experience in Python script development
Experience meshing geometry (FEMAP preferred)
Working knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (requirement management, budget allocations, MBSE diagrams, etc.)
Preferred
Master's degree in System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of industry experience
Experience manipulating parametric CAD models (NX preferred)
Prior experience in MMOD modeling/test
Prior experience in ORDEM, MEM, and/or MASTER environmental models
Prior experience in spacecraft systems engineering
