Responsibilities
As part of our team, you will work closely with clients on the following types of challenging, high-impact engagements:
Strategy & Commercial Advisory – US market entry and establishment, commercial trading & hedging strategy, commercial collaboration models, book structure & transfer pricing
Business Capability Development – trading capability assessment & benchmarking, trading capability design, operating & organization design, business process design, business change program planning, business & IT readiness & training, operational excellence
Risk & Regulatory Advisory – risk strategy definition, risk management policy design, risk capability assessment & design (market, credit, operational, climate, etc.), regulatory & compliance capability assessment & design (KYC, AML, trade surveillance, etc.)
Data & Analytics Advisory – data & analytics strategy / architecture design, data & analytics solution design & delivery
Technology Advisory & Transformation – technology strategy & architecture design, IT operating model design, technology capability building, technology program QA & health checks, vendor selection & implementation
Qualification
Required
6-8 years experience (Senior Manager 8-10 years) in a consulting or industry role, with experience in Commodity & Energy Trading initiatives
Strong client delivery and relationship-building skills
Deep advisory expertise in strategic advisory experience focused on power trading and asset optimization operations
Functional expertise across the power and environmental value chain including: Physical & Financial Power Trading, Generation & Load Management, Power Operations (Across ISOs, RTOs, & Balancing Authorities (BAs))
Experience in Operating Model & Process Design with areas of expertise in: Forecasting, Power Trading & Scheduling, Position Management, ISO (Bidding, Submissions & Awards), Settlements (ISO, PPAs, transmission, & exchanges), Renewable Energy credit (REC) Management, Compliance Reporting
Experience in advisory support for market entry and trading readiness initiatives
Experience in leading business and IT transformation programs, including change management
Knowledge of risk management frameworks and regulatory compliance
Experience in strategy, design, and implementation of advanced analytics platforms for power trading organizations
Experience in program and project delivery within power trading environments
