Staff HR Business Partner

Responsibilities

Build strong business acumen to effectively advise and influence leaders on strategic talent priorities and workforce planning
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution
Guide business through all talent processes, including performance management cycle, compensation processes, business unit restructuring, workforce and succession planning, and manager training
Partner with hiring managers, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards on opening and closing roles aligned to CareDx’s job architecture and org design
Provide day to day performance management guidance to all levels of leadership (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, performance improvement plans
Support onboarding of new leaders, including facilitation of new leader assimilation
Manage and resolve a broad range of ER issues in partnership with HR Ops and Legal team, including investigations, disciplinary actions and terminations, and HR policies and practices, among others
Deliver and refine talent development programs, such as manager training series and mentoring programs, in collaboration with HR colleagues and other cross functional stakeholders
Demonstrate a high level of ownership and commitment to achieving results when engaging with colleagues and stakeholders
Promote a Growth mindset and strategic agility, driving innovation, learning quickly, and pushing for what’s possible near and long term
Participate in special projects and initiatives that require cross organizational collaboration efforts

Required

BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience
5+ year in progressive HR positions, demonstrating accountability, impact and growth
Prior experience partnering with VP and C-Suite level executives
Strategic mindset with excellent project management with strong delivery & execution focus
Experience leading departmental/functional change initiatives from end to end
Self-motivated and assertive with the ability to hunt down answers and drive solutions autonomously
Ability to engage and influence without direct authority
Proven track record in implementing employee engagement strategies and plans
Strong MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) skills, with creative presentation and advanced excel skills
Displays strong business acumen – sees the big picture and operates with perspective
Resilience and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple priorities
Comfortable partnering with employees and leadership and moving regularly between the tactical and strategic priorities
Ability to travel as required

Preferred

Prior experience working for pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, life science and gene or cell therapy
