Technician, Engineering (Aerospace)

Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A. is seeking a Technician for their Aerospace division in the Consumer Products facility. The role involves supporting various functional areas through testing and inspecting products, interpreting engineering drawings, and assisting in equipment and tooling design and development.

Responsibilities

Follow all company Policies and Procedures, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS & EMS), Kawasaki Production System (KPS) and any other legal and compliance regulations that may apply such as
Interpret engineering drawings and create shop drawings for the purpose of creating or modifying the design of production tools and fixtures for fabrication by in house or outsourced
Create or modify production process
Analyze and troubleshoot initial equipment problems. Suggest countermeasures for system failures and implement and verify solutions for quality, safety, productivity and ergonomic
Collect process data, make mathematical calculations and estimates to report on findings and/or make process adjustments, set up tests, meet quality and production requirements, assist in improvements and establish standard production
Prepare equipment layouts and drawings to meet project
Recommend revisions to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve
Prepare and install fixtures and tooling for part set up for new or existing
Adjust basic machine program as necessary to support engineering and
Suggest and/or order equipment, tools and related material for
Train others within and outside of department as
Communicate relevant information between all shifts and across

Required

Two-year associate's degree in manufacturing technology or similar technical degree; or a combination of similar education and three years' experience
Current KMM employees: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) plus three or more years' experience in a position-related field at KMM
Proficient in Microsoft applications, email, AS400 and additional programs/software as necessary
