The HVAC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all HVAC-related field activities at construction job sites or occupied facilities, ensuring project deadlines are met and safety and quality standards are enforced.

Responsibilities

Coordinate installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems (including ductwork, controls, furnaces, heat pumps, and AC units)

Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents to guide field crews and subcontractors

Ensure that materials, tools, and equipment are delivered and staged in accordance with project timelines

Supervise HVAC technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors across multiple job sites

Conduct daily briefings and assign tasks based on scope, priority, and technician skill level

Train and mentor field employees on company procedures, safety policies, and technical skills

Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards to prevent job site incidents

Conduct site safety audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations as needed

Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes and regulations

Perform inspections to ensure work meets quality and performance standards

Respond to and resolve HVAC-related issues during installation and post-construction warranty periods

Coordinate with clients, project managers, and inspectors to resolve technical or scheduling issues

Track job progress, labor hours, and material usage; submit regular field reports

Assist in scheduling inspections and obtaining permits when necessary

Support project closeout activities including punch lists and system startups
