Responsibilities

Drive design initiatives from discovery to delivery, coordinating designers, researchers, engineers, and stakeholders to create elegant, user-centered experiences
Translate unclear business challenges and overarching product vision into actionable design deliverables, such as journey maps, system diagrams, and interactive prototypes
Synthesize insights from user research and analytics to inform design decisions and clearly explain the reasoning behind them
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance user experience and provide measurable business value across the product suite
Design, architect, and govern the enterprise design system and component library, creating scalable UI patterns, clear documentation, and contribution models that promote design consistency and accelerate development
Promote the adoption of design system standards across product teams by collaborating with engineering to enhance the enterprise design language and component library, ensuring that Dycom delivers a consistent UI at scale
Serve as the primary bridge between design and engineering, ensuring design fidelity and integrity in implementation, providing technical guidance, and resolving complex blockers
Champion user-centric design principles and accessibility standards, influencing product strategy and ensuring teams adhere to best practices
Mentor and elevate the team by leading design critiques, facilitating workshops, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, shared ownership, and high-quality design craft
Enhance collaboration practices among product, engineering, and UX teams to achieve customer and business results

Required

18 years of age or older with authorization to work in the United States
Certificate or Bachelor's degree in a design-related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience as a UX Engineer, UX Designer, Design Technologist, or similar hybrid role
A portfolio with case studies demonstrating mastery in solving complex UX problems, end-to-end product thinking, technical contributions, and the measurable impact of shipped, user-centric products
Proficiency in standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
Strong working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams
Proven experience in architecting, contributing to, and maintaining enterprise-scale design systems (e.g., Angular, OutSystems, or similar)
Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, lead complex projects with autonomy, and influence cross-functional teams and leadership
Deep understanding of the full product development lifecycle, with experience driving stakeholder alignment and decision-making
Exceptional problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for crafting accessible, consistent, and world-class user experiences
Ability to work effectively both independently and in highly collaborative environments
