Telecom Aerial Lineman

C-2 Utility Contractors, LLC is a service contractor specializing in telecommunications, committed to quality and on-time completion. As a Telecom Aerial Lineman, you will be responsible for installing and repairing aerial telecommunications cables while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
Safely use hand tools and equipment such as; wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more
Safely operate mechanized equipment such as; bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, and more
Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers
Flag traffic when required
Understand separation and clearance regulations
Safely work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders
Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies

Required

To be at least 18 years old
To be authorized to work in the United States for this company
Be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
A valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License (preferred)
Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry
Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques
To be able to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet
To be able to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction)
To be able to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call
Be able to maintain a safe work environment
Be able to work in all weather conditions
Be able to travel when travel is required
Routinely: Lift/Carry 50 lbs
Occasionally: Lift/carry 75lbs

Preferred

A valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License
