Responsibilities
Manage the engineering team responsible for revenue-related billing systems, including key integrations across quote-to-cash, invoicing, and reconciliation
Ensure strong team performance through coaching and mentorship while fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture
Support hiring and resource planning with a focus on technical excellence and team health
Oversee planning workflows—backlog grooming, sprint prioritization, and retrospectives—to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery while continuously improving system reliability, developer velocity, and code quality
Partner with finance, product, operations, and GTM teams to deeply understand revenue workflows and deliver systems that support accurate invoicing, compliance, and strategic business decisions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field
10+ years of experience in the technology industry, with a focus on SaaS products and large-scale, complex systems
5+ years of experience managing a team of 6+ engineers
4+ years of experience building and operating secure, highly available backend systems with modern languages (e.g., Go, Java, TypeScript/Node, Python)
Experience building and operating financial systems at scale
Preferred
Hands-on experience scaling contractual variations, and supporting financial systems in a SaaS or healthcare environment
Proficiency in PostgresSQL, understanding data models, and experience with data pipelines is a plus
Knowledge of healthcare billing practices and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST)
Proven track record of leading technical projects and process improvements in complex organizational environments
Effective conflict resolution and resource management skills to navigate challenging tradeoffs
Ability to creatively leverage AI to solve complex problems and enhance billing operations
