Mid-Career – Environmental Remediation Engineer

Geosyntec Consultants, an earth science and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Mid-Career Environmental Remediation Engineer to join our growing Environmental Practice. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of environmental due diligence, remedial investigations, and cleanup actions on known or suspected contaminated sites while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and partners to plan and execute work on a variety of environmental investigation and remediation projects
Perform task, project, and client management under the guidance of senior technical experts
Manage project teams that can include junior field staff, writing and editing staff, technical subject matter experts, and subcontractors to meet project needs
Conduct project scoping and budgeting and manage project budget and schedule
Apply technical expertise gained in your field of study to environmental project problem solving to meet client needs and project objectives
Complete technical data evaluation and write reports
Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, or related engineering discipline
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification or Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE)
At least 5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel

Preferred

Master's degree in environmental engineering, or related engineering discipline
Relevant coursework or experience in contaminant fate and transport
Knowledge of state and federal cleanup laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance for cleanup of contaminated sites
