Responsibilities
Leverage expert knowledge of pattern-making, fit and the product commercialization process from start to finish
Focus on Jordan creation for Nike within the Energy product area
Extend role to testing, consumer or athlete validation and commercialization of Gender and Athlete focused Chassis
Utilize advanced technical knowledge related to product fit & sizing leading critical and complex apparel development projects
Partner with NXT Digital Innovation and Global Apparel Standards team to align against size & fit
Create and execute new innovative styles, most often on speed timelines
Work cross-functionally to validate new Jordan standards, Chassis, create specifications, libraries and tools in support of Fit and Construction Standards for Jordan
Ensure project concepts align with Gender & Sport Dimensional initiatives, determining best methods and procedures on new projects
Create and validate the physical styles and create virtual versions using 3D tools (CLO) for dimensional tools and support digital adoption within product teams
Report to the Director of Technical Development for Jordan Brand and work with a talented team
Partner with Design, Materials, Product Management, PCC/Development (overseas) and Operations partners to deliver new creation product on expedited timelines
Provide technical recommendations and support to the dimensional Technical Design and Product Development community
Be at the forefront of adopting, adapting new tools and processes to implement across the business
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design, Pattern Making, Textile Science or related field
Advanced 15+ years experience in the apparel development process from inception through production, including but not limited to pattern making, grading, construction, costing, manufacturing, materials and quality
Expert in pattern making, translating patterns to written product specs and construction standards instructions
Ability to act as a technical resource and mentor others; lead initiatives and project teams
Demonstrated skill in problem solving and results orientation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage a high workload and multiple projects
Proficiency with CAD Pattern Design software (Optitex) and 3D software (Clo) highly desired
Proficiency with MS Office programs and Adobe Illustrator
Ability to travel 10-15% of the time including International travel
