Lead Quality Engineer
Sub-Zero Group, Inc. is a family-owned company known for craftsmanship and innovation in luxury kitchen appliances. The Lead Quality Engineer will be responsible for supporting and improving the Quality System within the new fabrication area of the Cedar Rapids facility, focusing on continuous product and process improvements.

Responsibilities
Partner with Quality Manager and peers to establish a project plan for implementing quality systems at the facility that support the overall project schedule
Problem identification, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action using Statistical Tools as appropriate
Development, maintenance, and review of key performance indicators
Research, recommend, and implement new equipment, designs, gauging and or processes that improve product quality, consistency and performance
Review and update the quality system requirements for new or revised products, including review and measurement of key control characteristics (KCC) identification and documentation
Work closely with industrial and manufacturing engineering to develop, qualify and audit new and key processes with data collection
Support trial builds of product throughout the system, gathering feedback for evaluation
Assist Business Unit Leader in defining annual Quality goals and objectives
Build a culture that identifies and solves problems related to quality, involving employees at all levels to own it and improve it
Promote a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams align around shared goals and celebrate collective wins
Empower individuals to take initiative, own their work areas, and lead improvement efforts that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency

Qualification
Required
Experience in quality engineering or related field
Strong knowledge of quality systems and methodologies
Ability to perform problem identification, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventative action using Statistical Tools
Experience in developing, maintaining, and reviewing key performance indicators
Ability to research, recommend, and implement new equipment, designs, gauging, and processes that improve product quality
Experience in reviewing and updating quality system requirements for new or revised products
Ability to work closely with industrial and manufacturing engineering to develop, qualify, and audit new and key processes
Experience in supporting trial builds of products and gathering feedback for evaluation
Ability to assist in defining annual Quality goals and objectives
Experience in building a culture that identifies and solves problems related to quality
Ability to promote a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams
Strong leadership skills with integrity and ethical decision-making
Ability to inspire a high-energy environment with positivity and resilience
