Responsibilities

Lead and execute independent research projects in statistical genetics and complex trait genomics
Develop and implement novel computational and statistical methods
Analyze large-scale genetic and genomic datasets
Mentor postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and research associates
Contribute to grant proposal preparation and scientific writing
Collaborate with internal and external research groups
Supervise day-to-day research activities and provide technical guidance to team members

Qualification

Required

PhD and 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred

PhD in statistical genetics, human genetics, computational biology, statistics, or a related quantitative field
Strong publication record in complex trait or statistical genetics
Demonstrated expertise in developing and applying statistical methods for genetic data analysis
Advanced programming skills in languages such as Python or R
Experience with high-performance computing and large-scale genetic datasets
Postdoctoral research experience, including grant writing
Additional expertise in areas such as statistical genetics methodology development, polygenic risk prediction, genetic architecture of complex traits, functional genomics data integration, or population and evolutionary genetics
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and lead research projects
