Responsibilities
Negotiation of pre-litigation and litigation settlements against insurance companies and defense counsel
Litigate personal injury cases from the inception of filing complaints, discovery, until resolution
Drafting and propounding discovery
Taking and defending depositions
Drafting pleadings and law and motion
Court appearances
Legal writing and research
Customer service with clients
Pre-trial motions in limine; trial prep; and chairing trials
Reviewing cases for settlement
Drafting settlement demands
Corresponding with insurance companies and defense counsel
Qualification
Required
Personal injury case handling experience (1-3 years)
Licensed by the State Bar of California, in good standing
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Understand CA civil procedure for State Court cases
Must have reliable transportation
Self-starter ready to handle cases under the supervision of the Firm's managing attorney
Preferred
Bilingual preference (Spanish and/or Armenian is a plus)
