DPS Telecom is expanding its product offerings and is seeking hardware and firmware developers with real-world experience. The Entry Level Embedded Developer will design and debug firmware, prototype hardware interfaces, and collaborate with PCB designers to deliver functional designs for mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

Design and debug bare-metal C/C++ firmware plus quick Python utilities for production tests
Prototype hardware interfaces (SPI, I²C, Ethernet, PoE) on devel boards, then migrate to custom PCBs
Pair with our PCB designers and front-end web devs to ship fully functional designs
Work on exciting projects. A high-mix, low-volume product line means that we have lots of mission-critical projects to develop for interesting clients
Work on teams that are led by the CEO, a founder of several companies, who considers what we do to be as much "play" as it is "saving the world"

Required

Hands-on learner
Ability to finish projects
Experience in designing and debugging bare-metal C/C++ firmware
Ability to create quick Python utilities for production tests
Experience with hardware interfaces (SPI, I²C, Ethernet, PoE)
Ability to read schematics
Willingness to learn PCB design
Experience with 3D printing
Mission-focused with energy and brainpower to complete projects
Ability to thrive on deadlines
Willingness to invest extra time to improve project outcomes

Preferred

Experience shipping garage projects
Experience hacking a 3-D printer
Experience soldering IoT boards
