Sr Medical Device Engineer

Responsibilities

You will support clinical study design and execution for iterative design improvement
You will design fixtures & equipment for new processes & be responsible for the tolerance analysis, integration, iteration, & documentation
You will work with vendors & diverse engineering teams to onboard new equipment and processes
You develop the processes and hardware required to manufacture best-in-class next-generation glucose sensors
You identify critical formulation and coating process parameters and develop optimum processing windows and boundary specs
You develop requirements and specifications for new sensor designs and manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless transitions into large-scale manufacturing
You will bring best-in-class statistical data processing techniques to the Membrane team and mentor junior staff on the subject
You will lead or contribute to root-cause analysis experiments and present findings to project teams
You will draft and edit formal documents related to formulations and application procedures
You lead multi-disciplinary teams to develop and launch innovative wearable biosensors
You develop high-throughput evidence programs, oversee risk assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product labeling decisions and generate intellectual property for new market indications

Required

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years' experience
You will support clinical study design and execution for iterative design improvement

You are adept at data analysis methods and analysis software, with the ability to construct appropriately powered and creatively designed experiments to solve complex problems
You are able to use CAD, design, & review drawings
You are able to assess equipment requirements (URS) and document equipment, installation, and calibration protocols
You demonstrate effective technical writing skills, including ability to write protocols, design of experiments (DOEs) and other technical reports and documents
You demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize activities to meet objectives on time and with a high level of quality
You are adept with statistical and data analysis tools, JMP preferred
You can evaluate and apply design tradeoffs and constraints for design optimization
You have a demonstrated history of running self-directed projects, managing timelines, completing technology transfer, and executing projects in an R&D environment

Preferred

Prior experience with coatings or membrane application is a huge bonus
