Responsibilities

Enforce Community & Event Center rules

Engage youth ages 6-11 in various camp and program activities

Provide direction and discipline when necessary

Communicate effectively with supervisors, youth, and their families

Assist with birthday parties and Parks After Dark on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays)

Be a positive role model

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Must be at least 16 years of age or older

Ability to pass a background check completed by the City of Auburn

Ability to complete First Aid/CPR

Preferred

Previous experience working with youth

WA Paid Sick Leave (WPSL) is issued at 0.025 hours for each hour worked (equaling one (1) hour for every 40 hours worked), as required by law.

Employees in this classification may be eligible for WA State Paid Family Medical Leave dependent upon their qualifications and work history in WA State.

Employees in this classification may also be eligible for PERS contributions, dependent upon their hours of work each month and their length of service.
