Responsibilities
Driving significant process optimization and improvement projects throughout the facility
Identifying, overseeing and prioritizing all aspects of complex projects that directly improve quality and business performance along with tracking operational deficiencies
Management, co-ordination and completion of projects by performing a variety of tasks that include setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring progress and summarizing results
Developing and deploying standardized best practice methodologies
Providing leadership and engineering support to drive improvements in material and information flow, packaging, picking and shipping efficiency, cycle time, lead time, labor utilization, costs and quality in a distribution and secondary packaging environment
Qualification
Required
Experience in process optimization and improvement projects
Ability to identify, oversee, and prioritize complex projects
Strong project management skills including setting deadlines and assigning responsibilities
Experience in monitoring progress and summarizing results
Knowledge of standardized best practice methodologies
Leadership skills to drive improvements in material and information flow
Experience in packaging, picking, and shipping efficiency
Understanding of cycle time, lead time, labor utilization, costs, and quality in a distribution and secondary packaging environment
