Responsibilities
Scope of funds includes SEC registered investment companies and Australian investment trusts
Manage relationships with fund administrators
Perform daily reconciliations of administrator NAV against shadow books
Involvement with operational duties including capital calls, distributions, and wiring of funds
Active role in preparation & review of financial statements and liaising with auditors
Calculate performance returns, management fees and performance fees, ensure timely payment of expenses and review quarterly budgets
Prepare income and dividend forecast models, board presentation materials, and SEC filings
Assist with ad-hoc requests, investor questions, and frequent interaction with our marketing/client management and legal & compliance departments
Frequent project coordination work
Assist in driving accounting, reporting and business process simplification and efficiency initiatives
Qualification
Required
Professional with at least 2-3 years of public accounting or industry experience. Preferably with exposure to financial instruments, investment funds, and SEC reporting
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels within and outside the organization
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a growing environment
Proven ability to manage multiple demands and projects in a high-growth work environment, including ability to prioritize time efficiently and manage multiple work streams while remaining attentive to detail
Highly developed planning and organizational skills
Self-starter that is organized and demonstrates the ability to multi-task
