Responsibilities

Overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end strategic sourcing for all clinical, professional services, indirect, lab, IS&T and capital-based products, goods and services across the Jefferson enterprise
Developing, proposing and executing upon formally structured strategic sourcing methodologies that emulate best-in-class processes
Leading and developing world-class strategic sourcing professionals that excel in analytics, strategic sourcing plan development, the ability to analyze and dissect best-in-class benchmark analytics
Maintaining the return-on-investment calculation for Strategic Sourcing, as well as for all direct report categories, at all times
Assessing, developing, tracking and effectively administering on enterprise economic value and standardization initiatives related to the reduction in operating expense, standardization and acquisition cost for all products, goods and services
Establishing a standardized and uniform capital strategic sourcing and aggregation process predicated on the use, in tangent with Jefferson Finance, of a common capital budgeting platform
Leading the strategic sourcing and data preparation for all product approvals obtained through the Clinical Value Analysis Process, including the analytical workbook readiness to then pass to the Vice President of Supply Chain Site Operations and Logistics
Leading and governing Jefferson’s overall group purchasing and aggregation group strategy, assessing market best practices, options, analytical capabilities and overall functional capability
Leading a strategic vision and operational execution related to Jefferson’s emergency preparedness critical inventory program, as well as leading the overall vision of Jefferson’s country of origin strategy for all medical supplies (Pharmacy excluded)
Developing a standardized, enterprise Supply Chain strategic sourcing strategy, methodology and vision for the overall supply chain organization, resulting in a high reliability and best-in-class Strategic Sourcing organization
Creating and managing a comprehensive five-year strategic business plan to ensure supply chain operations supports Jefferson’s overall mission, vision and key objectives
Developing, cultivating and leading a high-reliability supply chain organization that includes personnel development and a key succession plan for all key critical leadership roles
Providing leadership responsibility for the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing program, including span of control and overall productivity standards, assessments and appropriate adjustments
Providing leadership responsibility for ongoing benchmark and product standardization standards across all Jefferson product, goods Supply Chain site operations
Providing leadership responsibility for labor productivity and continuous improvement methodologies
Defining and developing supply chain policies, methods, standards, certifications and supporting tools in support of advancing Strategic Sourcing spend under management, operational excellence and consistent standardized operating procedures across all Jefferson operating units
Providing executive leadership and achievement responsibility related to identifying, developing and achieving all product, goods and purchased cost savings and efficiency achievement initiatives and targets
Developing, implementing and overseeing effective internal controls that promote adherence to applicable state/federal laws, and program requirements of accreditation agencies and federal, state, and private health plans
Developing, implementing, leading and overseeing the overall improvement in product standardization and aggregation, economic value, business continuity and overall risk mitigation
Acting as a supply chain business advisor to senior leadership and affiliate leaders to achieve organizational targets
Developing, implementing, leading and overseeing overall Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing activities to achieve organizational targets
Leveraging the intellectual capital of the entire organization (as appropriate) to achieve supply chain objectives
Reviewing and meeting ongoing competency requirements of the role to maintain the skills, knowledge and abilities to perform, within scope, role specific functions
Developing, implementing, leading, overseeing and assessing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence, including overall economic value, product benchmarking standards and expiration roadmap
Developing, building and nurturing a high-performance Strategic Sourcing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and professional growth
Providing guidance and mentorship to Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing operational leadership, enabling all operational leaders to excel in their roles
Fostering effective communication and teamwork to ensure seamless coordination between departments
Managing operational budgets, resource allocation, and capital expenditure to optimize Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing and financial goals
Understanding and remaining informed regarding the global supply chain, constraints, mitigation strategies and country of origin ramifications, understanding and adhering to industry best practices, actively suggesting strategic partnerships to enhance the ability to serve Jefferson’s overall mission
