The role involves conducting in-depth research, analyzing company financials, and collaborating with the portfolio management team to generate investment ideas.

Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth research on the semiconductor sector, including industry structure, supply-demand dynamics, technology trends, and capital expenditure cycles
Analyze company financials, valuation metrics, and competitive positioning across semiconductor, equipment, and materials sub-segments
Track major industry developments such as AI compute demand, foundry capacity expansions, and regulatory or geopolitical shifts affecting global supply chains
Produce detailed investment memos, thematic reports, and scenario analyses covering leading players (e.g., TSMC, Samsung, NVDA, AMD, ASML, etc.)
Collaborate closely with the portfolio management team to translate research insights into actionable investment ideas
Engage with management teams, suppliers, and industry experts to gather proprietary insights and validate investment theses
Qualification
Required
Prior experience in semiconductor equity research, investment analysis, or industry consulting is required
Demonstrated ability to independently develop investment theses and communicate them clearly
Solid understanding of semiconductor industry economics, manufacturing processes, and end-market exposure (e.g., AI, automotive, consumer electronics, data center)
Strong modeling and data interpretation skills
Self-directed, intellectually curious, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
Master's degree or higher in economics, business, engineering, or related fields; CFA or other credentials are a plus
Proficient in both spoken and written English and Mandarin
