Computer Engineer

The United States Air Force is responsible for ensuring that every base has the facilities and structures they need to operate successfully. The Computer Engineer will plan and manage construction projects, conduct surveys, develop GIS modules, and transform sketches into accurate construction drawings.

Responsibilities

Conduct reconnaissance, site location, construction and mapping surveys
Develop, operate and maintain Geographic Information System (GIS) modules
Evaluate potential construction sites
Manage and inspect construction and maintenance contracts
Transform rough sketch ideas into accurate construction drawings and specifications
Develop plans to beddown personnel, aircraft and associated support functions during contingency operations

Qualification

High school diplomaGEDNormal color visionValid state driver’s licenseBasic Military Training completionAge 17 to 39

Required

High school diploma, GED with 15 college credits, or GED
Normal color vision
Possession of a valid state driver's license to operate government motor vehicles
Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
Must be between the ages of 17 and 39
