1+ years expYoder Smokers is seeking a Laser Operator to join their team. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate laser cutting machines for shaping and forming metal materials while ensuring quality control and performing routine maintenance on the machines.

Responsibilities
Operate laser cutting machines to cut, shape, and form metal materials according to specifications
Set up and adjust machine settings, such as speed and power, based on material type and thickness
Monitor machine operation to ensure proper cutting and quality control
Inspect finished products for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments
Qualification
Required
Operate laser cutting machines to cut, shape, and form metal materials according to specifications
Set up and adjust machine settings, such as speed and power, based on material type and thickness
Monitor machine operation to ensure proper cutting and quality control
Inspect finished products for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments
Proficient in operating laser cutting machines and related equipment
Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machining techniques
Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes
Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations
Experience with press brake machines for bending and forming metal
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Attention to detail for quality inspection of finished products
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Preferred
Previous experience as a Laser Operator
