They are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to manage capital projects aimed at improving the operation of Sulfuric Acid Regeneration Units, focusing on process safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities
Specify equipment for sulfuric acid regeneration unit, including, but not limited to: boilers, compressors, heat exchangers, generators, cooling towers, acid towers, precipitators, converters, furnaces, tanks, and pumps
Perform hydraulic calculations for non-compressible and compressible fluids
Size project components such as piping, ducting, valves, pumps, etc
Perform heat transfer calculations for equipment
Develop specification sheets for equipment for use in capital project procurement
Develop PFDs and P&IDs for new or modified operations
Develop operational and/or functional statements in coordination with Controls Engineer
Manage, schedule, and coordinate all assigned capital projects
Develop, justify, and submit project scopes and cost estimates
Develop and submit capital project appropriation requests
Manage project budgets via tracking and forecasting project costs
Manage projects in the field during construction, including during unit turnarounds
Maintain document control of all project files throughout project duration
Ensure project compliance with applicable codes, laws, policies, and technical specifications
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical (preferred) or Chemical Engineering
Min of 5 plus years of relevant industry experience
excellent written and oral communications skills
able to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve problems
experience in using and developing engineering spreadsheets/calculations
proficient multi-tasking skills
organized, systematic, independent, and self-motivated
knowledge or willingness to learn basic project management processes
TWIC Card
Preferred
knowledge of AutoCAD and/or applicable chemical process simulation software
knowledge of local and state laws and applicable OSHA standards
