New GradBurgess & Niple is looking for a full time Engineering Co-op to join their team in Akron, working with top civil engineering experts. The role involves performing manhole inspections and gaining field and office experience under the supervision of Professional Engineers.

Responsibilities
Be a part of the project team and under the supervision of Professional Engineers, performing manhole inspections throughout the City of Akron sewer systems
Provide knowledge of municipal infrastructure in a real-life application of civil engineering
Locate manholes, take pictures using a tablet, and perform inspection for infiltration and cracks are the main goals for this work
You will be able to gain both field and office experience
Qualification
Required
Current student at an accredited college or university working toward bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Ability to lift manhole covers up to 80 lbs
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Experience with Microsoft Office products required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat and work outdoors
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Preferred
Experience with AutoCAD or ArcGIS
Akron residency is highly preferred
