Responsibilities

You’ll be accountable for scope, schedule and budget as well as technical quality of engineering deliverables as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations
You’ll effectively recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly
Your expertise will bridge the gap between the client’s needs and startup schedule with the installation of their vendor-supplied equipment
You will work with a home office team to coordinate the engineering activities with other staff members and the discipline lead
You will coordinate the electrical design with other disciplines
Your highly interactive team will produce power and lighting plans, single lines, electrical equipment layouts, raceway plans, cable schedules, panel schedules and installation details
You’ll assist with the more complex portions of the design process as you provide on-site assistance and direct face-to-face client interaction
You will define and develop installation packages, interacting directly with the client, owner and contractors, including on-site assistance
You and your team will work closely with the owner in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
At least 10 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), and IEEE standards

Preferred

Professional Engineer license in Arizona
Design experience in a manufacturing facility
Working knowledge of Revit as well Navisworks and/or Revizto
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams often located in different offices
