Technical Instructor

Assist students building course related projects using rapid prototyping machines and related activities emphasizing electronics
Instruct students on safety procedures and operation of all lab equipment for an undergraduate teaching lab that serves hundreds of students every semester
Prepare and provide in-class demonstrations in several electronics courses, per the instructors’ requests
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in a technical field
Minimum of five years of relevant hands-on educational or industrial experience or equivalent
Enjoy teaching undergraduate students one-on-one
Skills with electronics design
Skills with electronics fabrication
Skills with CAD
Skills with ECAD
Skills with embedded systems
Skills with machining
Skills with mechanical assemblies
Skills with rapid prototyping
Skills with facility management
Ability to handle confidential information and use discretion in handling complex teaching and personnel situations
Ability to communicate productively with a variety of different people in diverse settings
