Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer

They are seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI systems that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions within cloud environments, utilizing frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar
Leverage natural language processing (NLP), predictive analytics, and automation to optimize process efficiency
Lead and facilitate R&D sessions exploring emerging AI trends, tools, and methodologies—collaborating with thought leaders, academic partners, and internal innovation teams to identify new capabilities and use cases
Integrate AI systems into digital modernization efforts, ensuring compliance, security, and operational effectiveness
Collaborate with developers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and leadership to identify new AI opportunities across projects
Develop and manage data pipelines, feature engineering, and model lifecycle management
Translate data-driven insights into scalable solutions that enhance operational decision-making
Guide junior team members, providing mentorship on best practices in AI/ML
Document technical solutions, model governance standards, and maintain project artifacts
Stay abreast of cutting-edge AI research and emerging technologies, proposing new initiatives for continuous innovation
Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in AI/ML solution design, development, and deployment
8-10 years of professional software development experience, specifically with frontend technologies like Angular or React
6-8 years of experience working with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL
Proficiency in Python, with 5+ years of experience, and hands-on expertise with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or comparable tools
Demonstrated success deploying AI solutions in multiple cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS)
Strong understanding of data pipelines, feature engineering, and model lifecycle management
Experience with MLOps tools and practices
Excellent problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
Preferred
Prior experience working on DHS, CBP, or federal government projects is a plus
Knowledge of data privacy, security, and ethical considerations in AI deployment
Relevant certifications in cloud services or AI/ML areas
