Responsibilities

Develop and implement a digital content and social media strategy for the SMBC Americas that is aligned with the bank’s business priorities, including paid and organic campaigns
Monitor and analyze performance metrics across platforms to optimize content strategy
Partner with internal stakeholders to align social media efforts with business goals and educate teams on best practices
Continuously assess and enhance SMBC’s digital presence, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement
Build and maintain a content library for the Hearsay platform
Act as subject matter expert on social media trends, tools, and emerging platforms, providing strategic guidance and training as needed

Required

B.A. or B.S. degree with 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably within financial services or a similarly regulated industry
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to transform complex financial topics into clear, engaging content
Strong project management capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet tight deadlines
Deep understanding of social media platforms, content management systems, and digital publishing tools
Experience with analytics platforms and a data-driven approach to content strategy and campaign optimization
Familiarity with design tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite

Preferred

Knowledge of AI applications in communications is a strong advantage
