Manufacturing Quality Engineer
Innerspace is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to ensure the highest standards of product quality for their metal-based premium medical furniture. This role involves developing quality control systems, conducting inspections, and collaborating with various teams to maintain and improve product quality throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems for metal components and assembled medical furniture products
Collaborate with Value Stream Team to define and maintain critical-to-quality features and ensure design for manufacturability
Create and update control plans, inspection procedures, and work instructions to support robust manufacturing and assembly processes
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections, including first article inspection, using standard measurement tools and methods
Support problem solving activities using tools such as 8D, 5-Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, etc
Oversee and manage non-conforming product investigations and documentation
Lead internal PPAP and supplier PPAP along with engineering changes
Provide support and training to operators and inspectors on inspection techniques and quality expectations
Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve incoming material quality
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality or engineering, preferably within metal manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, forming and welding
Experience in developing and implementing quality systems
Strong understanding of quality management principles and methodologies
Proficiency with quality management tools and software
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable with calculated risk-taking
Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience in managing a fast-paced environment
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Proven ability to work independently with minimal involvement from others
Strong knowledge of basic quality hand tools
