Responsibilities
Performs routine construction engineering assignments at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL)
Requires a full working knowledge of construction engineering practices and the exercise of professional judgment within the framework of established guidelines
May have leadership responsibility for less experienced construction engineers
May be specializing in a single field or area, or assuming a lead role in a specific segment of a construction project
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline or specialized courses in engineering disciplines, and/or 8 years of actual work experience and certifications leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Fluent in Microsoft 365 or office-based products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Microsoft Teams, and ability to learn internal LANL tools
Construction experience
Ability to work with all levels of project support and leadership
United States Citizenship is required
Q-clearance or the ability to obtain
Preferred
Pressure testing or related certifications
Skilled problem solvers
Vast electrical background
Experience with glovebox systems
Familiarity with manufacturing
NQA-1 experience
Experience with facility-based mechanical systems
DoD and Navy, DoE, Pharma, Regulatory, Oil/Gas/Commercial buildings experience
