Responsibilities
Partner with PayPal business leaders and wider PayPal finance organization on accounting and reporting matters
Drive accounting support within finance transformation work programs and other process enhancements
Provide accounting expertise and leadership to finance and business organizations
Consult with business partners regularly to ensure awareness of significant transactions and potential accounting impact
Oversee quarterly CECL Allowance process
Review complex journal entries and ensure the accuracy of information through well-documented workpapers
Work with a high degree of initiative to identify and recommend process improvement opportunities through automation
Develop and improve internal process documentation
Collaborate with the other managers on the team for specific projects and oversight of day-to-day team operations
Qualification
Required
8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience
12+ years of Audit/Accounting experience: Minimum 5 years required at a Big Four public accounting firm
Experience in Credit or Banking industry is required
CPA required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate ideas and plans clearly and effectively with internal and external audiences at a leadership level
Ability to influence where you do not have direct authority through strong interpersonal skills
Quick learner with a high degree of attention to detail and understanding of business/accounting processes
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across cross functional teams
High degree of personal integrity and professional skepticism
Open to change and committed to continuous process improvement
Have a reputation for getting things done
