University of Central Oklahoma is seeking a Regular Student Technical to assist staff and faculty in supporting classrooms and labs. The role involves setting up audio/visual equipment, providing technical support, and assisting students with disabilities in accessing resources and accommodations.

Responsibilities

Assist with administering and proctoring alternative testing in the DSS Testing Center
Assist students with questions pertaining to software and assistive technology on lab computers
Monitor and maintain the DSS lab at NUC 305
Assist in software/hardware maintenance of accessible workstations across campus
Provide tier 1 level support for all office computers and technology in DSS office space – this includes installing software, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting users with various technical issues
Migrate users' files from their old computer to a new computer
Assist with the creation and execution of training sessions
Assist in providing accessible textbooks for students with disabilities
Assist with the maintenance of DSS hardware inventory
Answer general questions of students/visitors to DSS inquiring about accommodations

Required

All student employees must be enrolled at least half-time to be eligible to work any UCO student position
Half-time enrollment for fall/spring semesters is considered 5 hours for graduates and 6 hours for undergraduates
International students must be enrolled full-time to be eligible to work as a student employee
Full-time enrollment is 9 credit hours for graduates and 12 credit hours for undergraduates
Student employees working regular student positions must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours to be eligible to work during the summer
Students not enrolled in summer classes must be enrolled in fall classes in order to work during the summer
If the number of credit hours needed to graduate is less than the minimum number of hours required for student employment, the student must obtain a letter from their Academic Advisor

Prior lab or technical job experience
One year of undergraduate coursework completed
