Senior Mechanical Engineer (Design), Rail + Transit

Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design for stations, tunnels, and transit facilities - including HVAC, tunnel ventilation, and supporting systems
Develop contract drawings, specifications, and technical reports for design packages
Perform engineering calculations and system modeling to drive efficiency, safety, and sustainability
Ensure designs meet NFPA, ASHRAE, and local code requirements
Collaborate with architects, structural, and electrical engineers to deliver fully integrated designs
Support design reviews, QA/QC, and technical guidance throughout project delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of mechanical design experience for rail, transit, or complex building systems
Expertise in HVAC and tunnel ventilation design
Proven ability to produce high-quality design deliverables
Working knowledge of relevant codes and engineering standards
Strong technical judgment, creativity, and problem-solving mindset
Clear communicator who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
