(MTSI) is seeking an experienced senior level engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency's mission in Directed Energy weapon and advanced sensor system concept design. The role involves providing technical leadership and management support for Engineering and Advanced Technology projects, while working with a team to solve complex engineering problems.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to day technical leadership, direction, and management support for Engineering and Advanced Technology projects

Execute extensive managerial, technical, and business experience relating to major systems or programs for the DoD

Lead and execute extensive engineering/scientific support on systems, system elements, interfacing systems, components, devices and/or processes for complex developmental and prototypical weapon systems

Apply in-depth practical and theoretical technical/engineering knowledge to wide spectrum of technology issues

Work independently, as a team member, and/or leading teams/tasks to solve engineering/scientific problems

Ensure implementation of tailored system engineering 'V' processes with consideration of a program acquisition life cycle

Required

10 years technical management experience in related field

MA/MS in Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related field

Proficient in technical standards, principles, practices, and processes related to complex systems engineering

Knowledge of and experience primarily with EO/IR sensors, target tracking, high power lasers, high power microwaves, and/or short-pulsed lasers including design, integration, and/or testing

Project office experience working engineering, test and/or project planning

Top Secret/Special Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required
