Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a landscape architecture intern to join their community planning team in Albany, NY. The role involves assisting with various planning and design tasks, collaborating with professionals, and contributing to projects that enhance public spaces.

Responsibilities

Assist with report research, writing, and setup

Provide mapping, visualization, and document design support

Maintain records, collections and files related to specific projects

Design and production of conceptual plan views and 3D visualizations to support project development

Research zoning, precedents, and agency regulations as needed to advance projects

Work alongside landscape architecture professionals for a wide range of projects in New York and Connecticut

Assist with projects related to Parks and Open Space Design, Trail Design, Brownfield Redevelopment, Transportation Planning, Master Planning, Urban Development, Land Use, and Resiliency Planning

Support public outreach initiatives, including preparing meeting materials, meeting attendance and note taking, and preparation of public facing communications

Occasional travel to sites throughout Upstate New York and Connecticut may be required

Qualification

Landscape ArchitectureArcGISAutoCADAdobe Creative SuiteSketchUpProblem-solving skillsVerbal communicationWritten communication

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field from an accredited university

Basic ArcGIS and Microsoft Suite skills

Basic AutoCAD experience

Possess solid problem-solving skills

Must be able to work in a high-paced environment

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills

A valid driver's license and good driving record

Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions

Preferred

Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign and Illustrator experience

SketchUp experience

Previous internship experience
